About the role
Responsibilities:
• Prepare computers (install Windows, drivers, general software, printers, ...)
• Maintain computers (update Windows and antivirus software, ...)
• Set up network services for users (internet, file sharing, email, ...)
• Install and set up specialist software for the units - such as education, night finance and nutrition - and give basic training on how to run it
• Prepare the specification sheet and ID record for every computer and keep them up to date
• Service faulty systems and equipment (repair them in-house where possible, and otherwise send them out for repair and follow up on them)
• Identify the need for computers or accessories and provide full specifications for the purchase
• Look after the hardware warehouse (supply the day-to-day needs)
• Handle the relocation of computers around the organization
